I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in 2009 and have been licensed since 2011. The majority of my clinical work has been trauma-focused, which included treating children and adults who had suffered emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. In the more recent years of my career, I have sought education and training in the areas of reproductive trauma, and perinatal and postpartum mood disorders.
In my current practice, I see many individuals who have experienced grief and trauma, both in their past and present. There is great sensitivity I take in my approach. Creating safety in the therapeutic relationship is vital to the foundation of our work together.
I aim to treat the human condition. I practice from a psychodynamic framework, utilizing theories from Carl Jung. Early childhood experiences are analyzed and processed, allowing room for greater emotional regulation. Discovery of archetypes and their meanings are explored. In particular, unearthing the shadow is often central to the therapeutic process. I help to facilitate insight into how the unconscious mind impacts one’s belief system and behaviors. Striving towards self-actualization is paramount.
